Migration is a time of opportunity, but also a time of doubts and uncertainty, of learning about yourself and your limits. If you have moved to a new city or a new country as a single person, after a period of (hopefully) falling in love with your new place, you may have started to question yourself a lot, sometimes feeling down, other times feeling angry. You have the sense that you are starting to repeat behaviour that you felt you had left behind, but you’re not sure how to break with the pattern.
If you have moved countries in a relationship, you may be feeling the effects of losing your support network taking a toil on you and the other person, more so if there are children involved. You may be wondering how to teach your children the rules of a new place which you are still trying to figure out yourself. Psychotherapy can help with all these challenges.
